New Arctic Monkeys album for 2013?

Sheffield rockers aiming to release their fifth album this year

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has said that the band are aiming to put out a new album in 2013. Speaking to NME when asked what the new album would sound like Helders said "2013" when asked if that meant the album would be out before the end of the year he added "it would be stupid if we made a 2013 album and released it next year". Frontman Alex Turner has previously stated that the new album would be heavier speaking to Artrocker he said "I think we’re going to go the direction of those heavier tunes. We did R U Mine, and I think that’s where it’s going to be at for us for the next record". Fans will be looking out for new tunes when the Arctics headline Glastonbury Festival later this year.
